The Malossi RHQ SPORT crankshaft is an essential component for the internal combustion engine. Its quality directly affects the engine's performance and reliability. This crankshaft is equipped with a 10 mm diameter piston pin and a stroke of 39.2 mm.
Malossi produces top-class crankshafts, using high-quality materials such as 18 Ni Cr Mo5 for the half-shafts. These half-shafts and rotating masses are monolithic and forged, ensuring greater strength and durability over time.
The machining of this crankshaft is carried out on highly precise machine tools, ensuring a perfect surface finish and improving the overall reliability of the engine.
To ensure optimal operation, all crankshaft components undergo five heat treatments. Additionally, the crankshaft undergoes dynamic balancing up to 16,000 rpm, ensuring greater stability and reducing vibrations.
The connecting rod of this crankshaft is forged in 18 Ni Cr Mo5 and coupled to the shaft through a precision roller bearing suitable for high speeds.
