The Malossi RHQ crankshaft is designed for Piaggio engines and features a 16mm diameter piston pin and a 52mm stroke.
This component is considered the heart of the internal combustion engine, and all engine performance depends on it.
Malossi exclusively produces high-quality crankshafts to ensure high performance and reliability.
The crank halves are made of 18 Ni Cr Mo5 material and forged in one piece along with the rotating masses.
All machining processes are carried out on highly precise machine tools, and each component undergoes five heat treatments.
The surface finish is particularly well-crafted to improve reliability.
In addition, the crankshaft undergoes dynamic balancing up to 16,000 RPM.
The connecting rod is forged in 18 Ni Cr Mo5 copper-plated and is coupled to the crankshaft using a precision roller bearing to guarantee high speeds.
